Behind The Embassy Medical System

The Founders of The Embassy Medical System have contracted with US and UK based advisors and hospital management groups to oversee the development and design of this unique system of health care facilities and services. A senior US based hospital executive will be based in Colombo full time before and after the opening of the main hospital campus. Teams of physicians, nurses and managers will be engaged through US and UK hospital organizations. They will lead the development of comprehensive policy and procedure manuals for each clinical and administrative department and service line. In addition, they will develop and install computer systems, medical record instruments, and quality of care protocols and infrastructures. Staff training will be provided in Colombo, London and Minneapolis USA by human resource specialists from the UK and US during the pre-opening commissioning phases of the project.

The Embassy Medical Center Management will be governed with the advice and counsel of an “International Advisory Board."

This advisory board will be responsible for providing input to the US based CEO, Paul Rader, MHA, Ph.D., FACHE. He will provide overall project management during the pre-opening and commissioning of the hospitals and clinic network, and for the first several years of the hospital and clinic system's operations.

The International Advisory Board will be appointed by the hospital and will oversee the progress of The Embassy Medical Center and its related entities as it reaches its strategic and financial objectives.
