3. Facilities

Campus Location

The new Embassy International Medical Center is located on a 13 acre site near the New Kelani Bridge in the suburbs of Colombo, adjacent to the new freeway linking the Central District with the International Airport. Access to the site is from the airport road, with internal site roads for patient visitor, staff, physician and service traffic.

Campus & Facility Concept:

The medical campus has been carefully designed by an international team of architects, landscape designers and interior décor specialists using evidence based healing architecture from leading hospitals in the UK and US. The campus plan is shown throughout this web site. The site provides convenient valet parking for patients and visitors, plus a new parking structure for 300 cars located next to staff and family dormitories and apartments. Unique plantings, water fountains and fences will ensure a quiet, comfortable environment.

Sustaining Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is known for its serene sandy beaches, mountain waterfalls, jungles, and ecological sites, as well as a culture that embraces, sustains, and lives off the goodness of the Earth. A 25,000-square-mile (65,750-km2) island-nation off the coast of India, Sri Lanka has 21 million residents and a gross domestic product of about $32 billion—about $1,600 of income per capita.
