Embassy Medical Foundation

The Embassy Medical Center Foundation is organized to raise and distribute philanthropic support that:

• provides subsidies for women and children care of economically disadvantaged families within the Embassy Medical Center and Clinics; and
• enhances the quality of medical care within the hospital and clinics of Embassy Medical Center via subsidies for medical and nursing continuing education

The Foundation will have a separate Board of Governors consisting of 11 respected Sri Lankan and UK civic and business leaders. Initial staffing and working capital will be provided by grants and loans from the Embassy Medical Center. Periodic fund raising events will be scheduled for the entity to operate as a registered, not-for-profit tax exempt charity.
